Denza Localization — Premium BYD Sub-brand Guide for N7, N9, Z9 GT (2026)
Same BYD platform underneath, extended premium feature set on top — what changes for localization

Denza is a premium BYD sub-brand, originally created in 2010 as a BYD-Mercedes-Benz joint venture. In 2021 Mercedes sold its stake and Denza became 100% BYD-owned. From 2022 the brand relaunched with a new strategy — premium EVs with extended functionality on the same platforms as regular BYD.
Denza models
Denza N7
Five-seat premium crossover. Direct Audi Q5 e-tron competitor in the Chinese segment. Uses the same e-Platform 3.0 as BYD Han, but with an extended multimedia package: triple HUD projection, advanced Xuanji assistant, custom Devialet acoustics.
Denza N9
Flagship premium crossover. BMW X7 competitor in the Chinese segment. Technically close to BYD Tang L but with unique premium features: massage seats, panoramic HUD across the whole windshield, advanced AI assistant.
Denza Z9 GT
Sport electric wagon — a rare niche. Direct Porsche Taycan Sport Turismo competitor. Technically based on BYD Sealion 08 but with fully reworked interior and premium multimedia.

Denza localization: same as BYD, but harder
Good news: the Denza platform is a modified BYD, so base localization methods work. All Google apps install directly, CarPlay and Android Auto activate normally, firmware rollback is just as simple.
Bad news: Denza's premium features require extra work. Triple HUD (N9) — three separate screens, each needing its own UI localization. Devialet acoustics have their own settings that need translating. Xuanji AI assistant runs in a HarmonyOS style (unlike regular BYD's pure Android) — needs a compatibility layer for Google services.
What we do during Denza localization
Full translation of main and all secondary screens (triple HUD on N9), Devialet acoustic preset localization, Google Maps + Waze installed with premium-UI adaptation, English AI assistant integrated alongside Xuanji, CarPlay and Android Auto activation, SIM slot install, latest firmware update.
Plus: custom driving mode settings localization (N9 has 12, Z9 GT — 15), passenger panel localization (Denza has an advanced passenger screen), teaching massage modes to English voice commands.
Denza warranty
Fully preserved. Denza uses the same cloud diagnostics as BYD (Cloud BOS system), no additional tracking. Denza formal warranty — 8 years / 160,000 km on the battery, 4 years / 100,000 km on electric motors.
Cost and timing
Denza N7: 4-5 hours, 400-500 USD. Denza N9: 5-6 hours, 500-650 USD (due to triple HUD and more premium features). Denza Z9 GT: 5-6 hours, 500-600 USD.
