Deepal is Changan's premium sub-brand, launched in 2022 as an answer to Tesla and BYD in the mid-market segment. In 3 years the brand grew from one SL03 model to a full lineup: sedans, crossovers, the extreme G318 SUV. Deepal localization is one of the most predictable processes across Chinese brands.
Deepal models we work with
Deepal S07 (Pre-facelift and Facelift)
Mid-size electric crossover, 2023-2024 lineup flagship. Pre-facelift (before April 2025) and Facelift (from May 2025) differ in the multimedia platform — Facelift got an updated system with HarmonyOS compatibility. Both are localizable, but Facelift takes 30% more time.
Deepal SL03 / S05
Compact sedan. Deepal's first production model. Runs on the standard Changan platform — easiest localization in the range.
Deepal G318
Extreme SUV. Unique model — Land Rover Defender competitor by positioning. Runs on a modified platform with enhanced HUD and Huawei ADAS. Localization is slightly more complex due to Huawei component integration.
Deepal S09
Flagship premium crossover for 2026. Direct BMW X5 competitor in the Chinese segment. Technically close to S07 Facelift, but with an extended Huawei ADS 2.0 services package. Localization takes longer.

Full multimedia interface translation to English, Google Maps + Waze installation, YouTube, WhatsApp, Telegram, Spotify. SIM slot activation with a local carrier. English voice assistant. Update to latest firmware (v4.1.1 as of July 2026). HUD projection navigation output — Deepal ships HUD in all models by default, which is rare for this price segment.
Deepal / Changan warranty after localization
Fully preserved. We work only with the multimedia subsystem. Deepal uses cloud diagnostics via Changan services — media modification is not tracked. Across 300+ Deepal jobs, not a single warranty rejection.
One nuance — G318. Due to Huawei ADAS integration, media modification could theoretically be spotted by a dealer during Huawei component updates. We do a 20-minute rollback before scheduled service if needed — the procedure is included in the base service.

S07 Pre-facelift and SL03/S05: 3-4 hours, 350-450 USD. S07 Facelift: 4-5 hours, 450-550 USD. G318: 4-5 hours, 500-600 USD. S09: 5-6 hours, 550-650 USD. Price includes: system localization, apps, CarPlay/Android Auto, SIM slot, AI assistant (1 year), HUD localization.
