Main changes — updated DiPilot 2.0 on Smart trims and extended range. Hardware is largely identical, which simplifies localization.

Q: Does CarPlay work on a 2022 BYD?

Stock — no. After our localization — yes, wireless CarPlay and Android Auto install via DiLink 4.0 modification.

Q: Does BYD Blade LFP battery warranty survive?

Yes — factory battery warranty (8 years / 160,000 km) is preserved fully after localization.

Q: What does pre-facelift BYD localization cost?

From $750 for standard to $1100 for premium. Slightly less than current Smart models due to simpler firmware.

BYD Pre-facelift is the previous generation of BYD Han, Tang, Song, Yuan, Qin models (2022-2024 lineup). Runs DiLink 4.0 OS with a 15.6" vertical screen. BYD Blade LFP battery — the same as newer models. Range 500-715 km depending on trim, first-generation DiPilot ADAS. Foundation of the modern Chinese EV industry — the most common lineup on the used market.
